About the event
This session empowers flutists to build sustainable careers “doing what they love” through A.I.R. (Artistry, Innovation, and Relationships). Pittsburgh-based flutists—Dan Parasky, Dr. Iva Ugrcic, Cameron Massey, and Dr. Eftihia Arkoudis—will share how they forged hybrid careers as performers, educators, and arts entrepreneurs leading Parasky Studios, LunART Festival, EVA Arts Collective, and the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Panelists will explore balancing performance and teaching with entrepreneurship, community engagement, and technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss hybrid business models (profit/non-profit), fundraising, marketing, partnerships, and digital tools for running efficient, revenue-generating organizations. The panel will provide actionable strategies to generate income, expand community impact, and keep artistic momentum locally and globally.
